We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to enhancing the well-being of those they assist. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate home visits and transportation needs.

Duties

  • Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
  • Supporting the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Facilitating communication between clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
  • Assisting with light domestic tasks including meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
  • Driving clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
Requirements

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential;
    training will be provided for suitable candidates.
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt to support accordingly
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with clients and team members
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
  • Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to support home visits and transportation duties
