Project Accountant Annual Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus benefits

Central London Job Type: Full-time, 14-month fixed-term contract initially Reed Finance is excited to partner exclusively with a leading infrastructure investment and asset management firm in London to recruit a dedicated Project Accountant.
This role offers a unique opportunity to manage financial operations within several high-profile infrastructure projects.
Role Overview :
The Project Accountant will report directly to the Group Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in the financial management, administration, and reporting of the projects. This position is ideal for someone who has a broad accounting background and is eager to take full ownership of project accounting processes. Ideal Profile:
This position is ideally suited for a newly or recently qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), although finalists will also be considered. Candidates should have strong accounts preparation experience and a background in managing multiple infrastructure or PFI/SPV related projects. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all contractual, statutory, and regulatory frameworks. Manage the full cycle of project processes, from processing invoices and VAT returns to preparing presentations for SPV Project Directors. Oversee the business planning and financial model updates, including reconciliations and presentations to the Board. Conduct rolling cash flow analyses to ensure adherence to contractual covenants and update financial models as needed.
Collaborate with Asset Managers on SPV related matters, including lifecycle and quote models. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as Asset Management, the Board, Treasury Team, and external advisors. Prepare annual budgets, quarterly management accounts, and Board reports. Present financial reports at Board meetings. Manage the statutory audit process and secure approval of statutory accounts. Advise the Board on financial risks and opportunities and recommend strategic actions.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Newly/Recently Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), finalists considered. Experience in a similar role, preferably within infrastructure, investment, or asset management sectors. Strong understanding of financial management and reporting requirements.
Experience with PFI or PPP projects highly regarded. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management. Proficiency in relevant financial software and systems. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Benefits:
