Position: Reception Teacher Needed

Quantum Scholars are working with a wonderful Primary School in Surrey that is seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term temporary role with the potential to become permanent, offering an excellent opportunity to settle into a supportive and welcoming school community.

This vibrant Primary School caters for children aged 4-11 and is proudly rated "Good" by Ofsted. Inspectors praised the school for creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, secure and happy, and highlighted the high expectations set by staff, which enable pupils to make strong, consistent progress across all subjects.

We have worked with this school for quite some time now, and they have an excellent reputation for supporting teachers, both UK-trained and overseas-trained as they settle into new roles. Their leadership team is warm, approachable and committed to helping every member of staff thrive.

Requirements
  • Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Strong experience teaching within Primary settings
  • A positive, nurturing approach to teaching and supporting young children
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Available to start from January 2026
  • Full Right to Work in the UK is essential (Overseas-trained teachers welcome to apply)
Responsibilities
  • Create a warm, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and motivated to learn
  • Monitor, assess and record pupils' progress, ensuring every child is supported and challenged appropriately
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community
  • Implement the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies consistently
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, activities and enrichment opportunities
  • Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and personal development
