Role Description

This part-time Assistant Manager position is an on-site role based in Staines-Upon-Thames. The Assistant Manager will support the daily operations of the pre-school and nursery, including supervising staff, coordinating activities, engaging with children and families, and assisting with the administration of educational programs. The role also includes ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. Being a key liaison between staff, parents, and external agencies, wieking together to safeguard children and provide quality care the Assistant Manager will work closely with the leadership to maintain and improve the high standards of care and learning.

Qualifications
  • Experience and skills in leadership, team management, and operational coordination within an educational environment
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education frameworks and child development practices
  • Proficiency in communication, parent engagement, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with an eye for detail
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education, Childcare, or a related field is necessary
  • Familiarity with safeguarding children, ofsted inspection framework, health, safety, and nursery compliance regulations
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and program administration
  • A passion for working with children, along with a positive and nurturing approach in their education and care
