About Middle Atlantic PGA
The Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA (MAPGA), located in Stafford, Virginia, is one of the 41 Sections of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America, headquartered in Frisco, Texas. The MAPGA consists of over 1,200 members and associates in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia (D.C.) as well as small portions of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

PGA REACH Middle Atlantic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and philanthropic entity of the Middle Atlantic PGA Section (MAPGA), located in Stafford, Virginia. PGA REACH Middle Atlantic exists to improve lives through the community of golf. We are dedicated to impacting the game through youth, military, and community engagement. Description:

The Foundation Development Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure financial support for our Foundation. This role will build relationships with potential donors, cultivate existing relationships, and ensure that all fundraising efforts are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, and have a proven track record in fundraising and donor relations.

Foundation Pillars: Youth, Military, and Diversity & Inclusion. Examples include:

  • MILITARY Pillar | PGA HOPE Program – PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH and is designed to introduce golf to veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. In 2024, we served over 1,100 veterans by helping them make their way through the HOPE Program and are now graduates.
  • YOUTH Pillar | MAPGA Junior Tour & PGA Jr. League – The MAPGA Junior Tour reaches more than 2,500 junior golfers annually. We believe that the values and skills learned through junior golf can positively impact a child for the rest of their life. We accomplish this by offering different levels of tournament play depending on the golfer’s ability. PGA Jr.

    League is a fun, social, and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 17 and under (13u Division and 17u Division) to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends. The kids learn the game among their peers with professional instruction and direction from PGA/LPGA Professionals who serve as team captains.

    Parents also play an active role, making the program a family activity and creating another generation of players to enjoy the game. They compete at the Section level and then have the chance to advance to the Regional Level for the opportunity to represent their state at the National Championship.
  • DIVERSITY & INCLUSION Pillar | PGA WORKS – PGA WORKS is a workforce diversification strategic initiative designed to evolve the demographic composition of the golf industry workforce and develop a robust pool of talent from diverse backgrounds who are prepared to ascend to key employment positions in the business of golf. The MAPGA annually hires a PGA WORKS Fellow in a full-time role to gain experience and knowledge in the golf industry.
