We are seeking a strategic and visionary Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR functions at The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company. As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our people strategy, enhancing organizational culture, and building a high-performing team that aligns with our business objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with our company’s goals and objectives.

The Human Resources department currently assists local offices in managing over 3,300 employees globally.

Primary Duties
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the overall company business plan and strategic direction.
  • HR Team Development: Demonstrate the capability to build, develop, and effectively lead a high-performing HR team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Oversee recruitment, staffing strategies, and applicant tracking system in HRIS.
  • Compliance &

    Risk Management:

    Ensure adherence to current labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Compensation & Benefits Oversight: Oversee compensation, benefits, and employee relations programs to ensure alignment with industry standards and employee needs.
  • Performance Management: Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Promote a positive work culture, resolve disputes, and manage employee experience programs.
Additional Duties
  • Training & Development: Help to develop Learning Management System (LMS) programs to support career growth and organizational capability in tandem with Bartlett’s Champion Program.
  • HR Technology & Analytics: Build and manage HRIS systems. Create relevant HR data for executive staff strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Strategic Culture Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
  • Leadership Development & Succession Planning: Facilitate leadership development programs and succession planning initiatives to build future leaders within the organization.
MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES

Handle ad-hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by the President.

LOCATION

This role requires candidates to be based in‑person at our office located in Stamford, CT.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to spend long hours working independently and collaboratively, including office work and extended periods at a computer.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to effectively respond to multiple, changing and often conflicting priorities is essential. Must be able to effectively interact with guests and co‑workers, along with peer professionals.
