Speech and Language Pathologist in Stafford, VA

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 public school district located approximately 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This contract role runs through the current school year, ending May 29, 2026, and offers a dynamic environment serving elementary and middle school students.

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students, managing a caseload typically around 50, with a maximum of 55.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.
• Adapt therapy plans to meet individual student needs and promote effective communication skills.
• May be assigned to up to two schools, with locations determined based on candidate fit.

• Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathology licensure is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; candidates in their Clinical Fellowship year will be considered with supervision provided.
• Previous experience in school-based SLP services is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to undergo a Virginia Department of Social Services background check and provide a current TB test.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively.

• Full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Part-time candidates may be considered if able to work at least 20 hours weekly.
• On-site work required; no hybrid or remote options are available.
• Number of schools assigned varies but will not exceed two.
