Description

Sedulous is seeking a Mid‑Level Logistics Analyst (Disposal Management) to support the Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) Program within Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA).

This role focuses on divestment, phase‑out planning, disposal management, sustainment logistics, and lifecycle support for legacy Marine Corps ground systems.

The selected candidate will support government program teams in developing and executing strategies to safely retire equipment, manage Government Property, and ensure compliant disposal in accordance with DoD lifecycle management policies.

Primary Duties (but not limited to)
  • Conduct analytical research to identify optimal divestment and disposal strategies for AAV systems and related Government Property
  • Coordinate disposal and reutilization requirements with:
    • DoD organizations
    • Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services
    • Foreign military programs and government stakeholders
  • Support phase‑out planning activities, including:
    • Inventory verification
    • Technical inspections
    • Property accountability validation
    • Logistics database maintenance
  • Maintain authoritative records in logistics and property management systems
  • Assist with development and updates to:
    • Disposal schedules
    • Business models
    • Lifecycle phase‑out planning documentation
  • Support DEMIL requirement assessments, including:
    • Reviewing DEMIL codes
    • Providing cataloging recommendations
    • Supporting demilitarization planning
  • Track configuration control documentation for USMC disposal actions
  • Monitor metrics for harvested or reutilized equipment
  • Track financial execution related to disposal planning
  • Provide spare parts depth recommendations required for sustainment until end‑of‑service
  • Participate in DMSMS Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and support annual plan updates
  • Prepare meeting minutes and progress documentation in accordance with contract reporting requirements
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Relevant military or DoD logistics experience may substitute for education)
  • 5+ years of DoD logistics, lifecycle management, or sustainment experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • DoD lifecycle logistics processes
    • Government Property accountability
    • Disposal / reutilization procedures
    • DEMIL requirements
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs or Program Management Offices
  • Ability to analyze logistics data and develop actionable recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting USMC Systems Command programs (huge bonus for Sedulous work)
  • Experience with ground vehicle sustainment programs
  • Familiarity with:
    • DLA Disposition Services
    • Marine Corps logistics systems
    • Configuration management processes
    • DMSMS programs
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Logistics certification (Level II / III or equivalent experience aligned with Advanced certification standards)
  • Prior military logistics experience strongly desired
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This is primarily sedentary work requiring the ability to perform tasks involving reaching, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, standing, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Employees must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Work requires dependability, accuracy, strong judgment, and the ability to apply oral and written instructions. Must be able to make decisions that significantly impact the immediate work unit.
