Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent.

Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6:55am to 3:55pm, Friday 6:55am to 12:55pm – overtime may be available depending on workload

They are a family-owned market leader in bespoke sheet metal fabrication, proudly based in Stoke-on-Trent. With decades of experience and a strong reputation for high-quality craftsmanship, they specialise in the in-house production of hobby craft kilns and a variety of custom products including benches, hoppers, frames and more.

The company are currently seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their growing team — someone who takes pride in their work and can bring technical drawings to life through precision fabrication.

About The Role:

Working primarily with thin sheet metal (1mm–5mm mild steel), you’ll be responsible for fabricating and assembling kilns and various other products from folded components, using supplied technical drawings, incorporating materials such as box section, angle iron. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a hands-on, practical approach. 5 Years of mig welding / fabricating required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding of mild steel sheet (1mm–5mm)

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to fabricate jobs

  • Working independently to complete jobs to the high standard

Operating various fabrication equipment, such as:

  • Guillotine

  • Steelworker

  • Pillar Drill

  • Nutsert tool

  • Bandsaw

Working Arrangements:

  • Monday to Thursday 6:55am to 3:55pm, Friday 6:55am to 12:55pm – overtime may be available depending on workload

  • 28 days holiday entitlement including bank holidays

  • Rate of pay between £15.00 - £16.00 per hour
