Clinical Support Worker - County Hospital

We have a number of Clinical Support Worker opportunities at County Hospital in Stafford.

We have full time, part time available, please note at this time we arenot recruiting to any Bank positions.

The Trust aims to foster a culture of continuous learning. We appreciate and value the contribution of our Clinical Support Worker workforce, and we support the opportunity for apprenticeships and other training to help you progress through the pay scale. Many of our Clinical Support Worker have trained to Senior Clinical Support Worker level and some are now training to 'top up' to Registered Nurses.

duties of the job

The role of the Clinical Support Worker in the Trust is different depending upon the ward or department the role is based, however you would be delivering care and support to our patients, learning new skills in assessment and documentation.

  • If you are shortlisted for interview for this role you will need to be able to attend the full day assessment day on Saturday 28th February 2026 at County Hospital in Stafford. We are unable to provide an alternative date or online interviews for this role due to the practical elements of the process
  • This event is only for County Hospital, Stafford.Please do not apply if you want to be based at Royal Stoke Hospital as there will be no offers for this site
  • On the day of the interview, you will need to bring full  including Right to Work documentation and UKVI documentation (If applicable). Please see more details below.

Right to Work documentation:

  • Passport (if external to UK please bring your UKVI share codes)
  • A British birth certificate along with evidence of National Insurance Number

Additionally you will need to provide two proofs of address such as:

  • Bank statement or utility bill (dated within the last 3 months)
  • Tenancy agreement / Mortgage Statement / Council Tax statement (Dated within the last 12 months)
  • Driving Licence (In current address and valid)

Please ensure if any of your  in a different name you are able to provide proof of name change.

Person Specification Experience
  • Evidence of good numeracy and literacy
  • Evidence of passion for patient care
  • Care Certificate (This is mandatory to undertake in the first 12 weeks of employment commencing)
  • Ability to cover a variety of shifts over 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays
