Team Lead – Adult ADHD & Autism Mental Health Team

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join us as a Pathway Lead in the South Staffordshire Adult ADHD and Autism Team based across South Staffordshire.
The post is newly created with significant scope to lead, shape and develop the role within the ADHD and Autism provision based with our Mental Health services. We are looking for a highly skilled clinician with a professional Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Social Worker Registration to work within both a clinical and leadership capacity with priority focus on providing comprehensive leadership to the team.
The Team provides Triage, ADHD and Autism assessments and post diagnosis support to the people of Staffordshire within a community clinical setting.
You will work closely with the existing multidisciplinary team and with physical and social care colleagues along with our GP and primary care colleagues. You will have the opportunity to work with fantastic people to deliver person‑centred care and make a real difference.
Main duties of the jobAs the Band 7 Pathway Lead, you will be expected to provide leadership to the team prioritising the delivery of a high standard of care to individuals referred to the South Staffordshire Adult ADHD and Autism Team.
As part of this role, you will be expected to:
- Provide daily operational/clinical leadership and supervision to the team.
- Work collaboratively with the Operational Manager and team clinical leads in the planning and delivery of the service.
- Participate actively in Collective Leadership and Quality Improvement projects relating to the services.
- Spend up to 20% of time in direct clinical work depending on the needs of the locality and preferences of the individual.
- Engage in and support the development of policies, procedures and working practices within the team.
- Ensure implementation, monitoring, evaluation and compliance with all policies and procedures in the area of responsibility.

Person Specification- Post‑registration experience and/or evidence of formal courses and training at postgraduate diploma level.
- Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience of effectively initiating, developing, implementing and evaluating operational processes.
- Demonstrable experience in performance management.
- Experience in the direct line management of health or social care staff.
- Significant demonstrable post-qualification experience at Band 6 working in a mental health / specialist inpatient setting.
- Demonstrable experience of effective multidisciplinary team working.
