The Division

The Integrated Components and Solutions team in the UK, has some of the most exciting engineering opportunities within the Caterpillar global organisation, working on the integration of electronic control systems within multiple Caterpillar products. Integration of the latest Electronics and Electrical technology helps differentiate Caterpillar products from its competitors, by enabling exceptional performance and value to the customer.

Our engine systems control air and fuel delivery with millisecond precision, power delivery and response, and manage aftertreatment systems (including regeneration), to maximise performance and minimise exhaust emissions.

Our battery management systems manage and control the performance of machine battery packs, providing state‑of-the‑art SoC, SoH and SoF algorithms, delivering necessary functional safety features and managing charge and discharge, as well as integrating to other system components such as powertrain controllers, chargers and machine controls.

Our integrated machine systems control all aspects of construction machine operation (engine/transmission or full electric powertrain, hydraulic systems), provide the human‑machine interface (operator controls and information displays), and constantly monitor and communicate position, operation, diagnostic and prognostic information to enable machine automation, improved…
