We are seeking to appoint an experienced, confident and hardworking 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work alongside our Key Stage 2 team supporting a child in Year 6 for 13 hours per week. The hours will be 8.30am- 3.30pm, Thursdays and Fridays.
This is a temporary position supporting a child in a Year 6 for the duration of their time at All Saints.
You will work alongside and support the class teacher making effective use of resources to achieve the highest standards of learning and achievement for the pupil. Experience of working with children with Communication and Interaction needs and severe learning difficulties would be an advantage.
Responsibilities- supporting the pupil’s learning in class and on a one to one basis
- Adapting and delivering planned interventions
- facilitating the pupil’s learning to encourage independence
- providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on the pupil’s progress and achievement
- helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
- establishing supportive relationships with the pupil concerned and their parents/carers supporting pupil to self-regulate
- engage child in short, targeted learning tasks
