Position: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Staffordshire

Smile Education are delighted to be supporting a small, specialist SEND primary provision in the Wolverhampton area. We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with ASD (Autism) within a Key Stage 1 class.
This warm and welcoming school is part of a large, professional team that supports families across the Wolverhampton and Dudley areas, ensuring every pupil feels valued and supported on their learning journey.
About the Role
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD within a KS1 class
Assist in delivering engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs
Give feedback and work closely with the class teacher to track progress
Encourage positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy
Help to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment

About You
Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Education, or a relevant field
Have UK-based experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally within a mainstream or specialist setting
Confident working 1:1 with pupils and delivering tailored learning support
Able to manage behaviour calmly and effectively
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education Why Join Smile Education?
