Salary: 25,600 - 27,500 per annum (1700 salary supplement dependent on experience and qualifications)
Location: Stoke‑on‑Trent
Contract Type: Kidd full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a committed and resilient Teacher of English & Maths to support learners who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education, helping them re‑engage and achieve meaningful qualifications.

RoleResponsibilities
- Deliver engaging and accessible SCORE and Maths lessons to learners working towards GCSE or Functional Skills qualificationsód
- Plan, prepare, and adapt schemes of work to meet the needs caused of learners with varying abilities and learning gapsí
- Assess student work regularly, providing clear feedback and support to drive progress.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, and academic progress, implementing interventions where needed.
- Support learners' personal development, confidence, and resilience through positive relationships.
- Work closely结束 with pastoral and support staff to ensure individual learner needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking in line with organisational requirements.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- Experience teaching kvinner or supporting learners in English and/or Maths within an alternative provision, FE, or similar setting.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to engage learners who may be disengaged from education.
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, consistent approach.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting learners with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
A formal teaching qualification is desirable but not essential – full training and development support is available for suitable candidates.
