As a Transport Support Operator you will be responsible for providing administrative support and accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines in order to contribute to the overall success of the site.
Working hours:
4 on 4 off days, .
Salary: £26,138 per annum.
12 months fixed term contract.
Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator- Correctly debrief drivers.
- Check all timesheets for correct completion and ensure all PODs are returned completed correctly.
- Scan and store PODs using Culina’s document management system.
- Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
- Answer the telephone and assist with any enquiries.
- Download drivers’ cards / tachographs.
- Ensure all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
- Consistently update all spreadsheets, including but not limited to change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
- Depart and complete loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
- Ensure all uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.
- Previous experience in Administration.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
- Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
