This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fleet Supervisor based in Stafford, TX. The Fleet Supervisor oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and performance of an organization’s vehicle or equipment fleet. This role ensures safety, compliance, cost efficiency, and operational readiness while leading drivers, technicians, or equipment operators.
Key Responsibilities Fleet Operations- Monitor vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and performance metrics.
- Ensure all fleet activities comply with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and repair workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, service history, and regulatory documentation.
- Conduct regular fleet audits to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and fully operational.
- Collaborate with vendors, mechanics, and service providers to manage repairs and parts procurement.
- Supervise drivers, operators, or maintenance personnel, including training and performance evaluations.
- Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, toolbox talks, and incident reviews.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of fleet staff.
- Track fleet expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and replacement costs.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for fleet operations.
- Recommend improvements to reduce downtime, extend asset life, and optimize fleet efficiency.
- Use fleet management software to track assets, maintenance, and compliance.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, utilization, and cost trends.
- Implement process improvements and technology upgrades to streamline operations.
- Experience in fleet management, transportation, or equipment operations.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and maintenance software.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL may be preferred depending on industry.
