This is an onsite role at Stafford, TX
Shift
Schedule:
Monday – Friday from 6:30am - 3:30pm, overtime as needed
The Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that manufactured components meet all engineering, safety, and quality standards. This position requires strong knowledge of dimensional testing, manufacturing processes, and product functionality. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable collaborating across multiple functional groups..
Responsibilities- Apply knowledge of dimensional testing and manufacturing processes to evaluate product quality.
- Review vendor documentation including Material Test Reports—to verify compliance with engineering specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured components using standard inspection equipment.
- Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, hard gauges, profilometers, optical comparators, and micro hite systems.
- Identify, document, and report non conformances for technical authority review and disposition.
- Initiate change requests to Engineering when design for manufacturability concerns are identified.
- Collaborate with internal functional groups to address and resolve Quality Control–related issues.
- Interface with customers, third party representatives, and certifying authorities as required.
- Participate actively in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of related experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing
- Strong product knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation.
- Proficiency with dimensional inspection tools and measurement techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Material Test Reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
- Detail oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Required to work in a fast paced and noisy environment with constant movement.
- Regular lifting and/or moving up to to 50lbs.
- Be results driven with a keen eye for detail .
- Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T.
- Understanding of machinist handbook (ASME, ASTM, ISO
17025) - Ability to use Competent in using a dial caliper and micrometer for measuring parts.
- Knowledge in dimensional testing and manufacturing.
