Pharmacy Technician

Overview

We are looking for a dependable Full Time Pharmacy Technician. STERILE COMPOUNDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Monday - Friday 40 hours a week. 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM CLOSE (set shift).

• Prepares parenteral products under the direction of a registered pharmacist, utilizing aseptic technique adhering to USP 797 guidelines in accordance with policy.
• Assists the pharmacist with the dispensing of items ordered by a physician pursuant to a valid prescription.
• Checks and maintains inventory levels; places inventory orders, logs in new inventories.
• Check for expired/unusable products and disposes of them properly.
• Documents all activities appropriately.
• Answers and initiates communications related to providing pharmaceutical care.
• Assists the patient delivery representative in orders, receiving, maintaining, and tracking all infusion related equipment.
• Fulfills the duties of the patient delivery representative when required.
• Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations.
• Strives to achieve cost effectiveness in all areas (including purchasing, inventory control, staffing delivery services).
• Available to work "on call" as needed.
• Performs other duties, special tasks/projects as required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to work standing for long periods of time
• Ability to perform cleaning duties as assigned and required by USP 797.

• Current TSBP pharmacy technician license in good standing required
• ACPE IV certification required
• Continuing education necessary to maintain current licensure in all states licensed.
• Minimum one year experience as a pharmacy technician with training/experience in alternate site/home health pharmacy practice and the preparation of sterile products.
