Social Worker role at aQua Dialysis

We are seeking a part‑time Master’s‑level Social Worker to join the treatment team for patients in our Fort Bend dialysis center.

As a dialysis/renal social worker, you will provide support to patients and families adjusting to the challenging diagnosis of end‑stage renal disease (ESRD). You will serve as the patient’s advocate and act as a bridge in communicating the patient’s needs to the treatment team (nephrologist, nurse, dietitian, and social worker).

• Evaluating for vocational rehabilitation services, including employment, education, volunteering, or returning to previously enjoyed activities.
• Providing education and referrals to appropriate resources.
• Assisting with keeping or obtaining insurance coverage.
• Assisting patients in understanding their rights and responsibilities.
• Providing supportive counseling.
• Assisting in informing patients of the importance of treatment participation.
• Advanced Directives education.

A Master’s degree in Social Work is required. State license is preferred. Unlicensed applicants must be able to obtain a temporary license within the first three months of employment. Prior experience in dialysis, hospital, or other medical settings is preferred.
