Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Nights

Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department – Full Time, Night Shift at Hackensack Meridian Health.

• Deliver evidence‑based nursing practices according to current policies and standards.
• Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar‑scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluations point‑of‑care.
• Provide patient and family centered education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.

• Current and valid New Jersey nursing license required.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required.
• BSN preferred and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• At least one year of acute care nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• Emergency department experience preferred.
• Strong sense of accountability, teamwork, ongoing education and passion for high quality patient care required.

Starting at $43.77 Hourly.
