Registered Nurse Senior

Agency: Human Services Department, Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS)

Location: St. Peter, MN

Shift: Night Shift (10:00 pm – 8:00 am, Monday – Friday)

Hours: Full‑time, 10‑hour shifts

Salary: $40.86–$60.50 per hour; $85,315–$126,324 per year

Start Date: Anticipated 06/04/2025

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide experienced, professional nursing care and assess the needs of patients.
  • Develop individualized nursing plans in coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver direct nursing interventions and delegate nursing tasks to appropriate staff.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans during the shift.
  • Provide clinical oversight of nursing processes and administrative functions in conjunction with the Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor.
  • Lead in establishing, facilitating and implementing the program’s mission, philosophy, goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota.
  • Either:
  • Bachelor of Nursing and two years of RN experience.
  • Associate of Nursing or nursing diploma and three years of RN experience.
  • Certification in an area of expertise equals one year of RN experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working with diverse cultural groups and in mental/behavioral health settings.
