Project Engineer - Engineering/Process Environment
My client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage projects from order to installation and handover. This office-based role involves site visits across the UK and occasional overseas travel, including overseeing on-site installations and managing subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Own projects from start to finish, acting as the main customer contact.
- Develop project scope and maintain schedules (Gantt charts).
- Prepare project documentation (BOMs, P&IDs, layout drawings).
- Source components and manage project changes.
- Coordinate delivery, installation, testing, training, and handover.
- Ensure commercial awareness and timely invoicing.
- Proven track record in process or engineering project delivery.
- Experience in manufacturing or technical environments, ideally food processing.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD LT.
- Knowledge of steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipework; basic electrical understanding a plus.
- Full UK driving licence
