Position: Community Education Competitive Cheer Coach
About STMA Schools

We are a district that serves over 6,900 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Cheer Coaches to lead and develop our STMA Community Education Cheer program.

* Ability to coach competitive cheer teams ranging from the elementary-varsity level.

* Design and coordinate practices, coordinate competitions, assess skill level of athletes, and choreograph their team's routine.

* Be able to teach Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced/Elite Stunting Skills depending on the level of team

* Be able to teach/spot beginner/intermediate tumbling skills

* Create a positive team environment of respect, communicate with parents and athletes effectively, and be a positive role model.

Season:
April 13, 2026 through January 23, 2027

Schedule:

Times vary based on team, 1-3 days a week between the hours of 4 and 9:30pm.

Salary and Benefits : $700 - $6610 per season, depending on level

This is a non-benefited position. STMA Schools abid by all Earned Safe and Sick Time laws.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience coaching or participation in cheerleading.

Completion of or complete the USA Cheer Safety & Risk Management Course
