We are a district that serves over 6,900 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Track & Field Coaches to lead and develop our STMA Community Education Youth Track & Field camps.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for training young athletes of varying skill levels, developing effective practice plans, and instilling discipline and teamwork. Key duties include teaching track & field techniques, preparing athletes for competitions, and ensuring a safe and motivating environment. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring athletes are essential. Previous coaching experience and a deep understanding of the sport are preferred.
Age ranges:
Youth grades 2-8.
Start dates:
June 15th.
Schedule:
Camp will run Mondays, June 15th through July 27th from 6:00-8:00pm.
Salary and Benefits :
Head Coach: $25-$27/hour
Assistant Coach: $20-$22/hour
High School Aide: $15.50-$16.50/hour
No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching.
Head/Assistant Coach:
Must be 18+ years old and a high school graduate.
High School Student Aide:
Must be 16+ years old and still in high school.
