Base Pay Range

$19 practicing/yr - $22.00/yr

Deerwood Bank is hiring a part‑time Teller II/Front Desk position to work in its St. Michael, MN branch. The role includes handling teller duties—cash, accurate balancing, deposits, checks, payments—as well as front‑desk tasks such as welcoming and assisting customers, answering phones, scanning/indexing, ordering office products, and managing mail. It requires a high level of customer‑service skills, keen attention to detail and strict adherence to all bank policies and procedures.

Hours: 30–35 hours per week with shifts Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm (Thursdays 7:00 am‑3:30 pm); rotating Saturdays 1–2 times per month from 8:15 am–12:00 pm Starting Pay Rate: $19.50–$22.00 based on qualifications Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greets customers and answers phone calls.
  • Assists customers and staff with various retail, operations and customer‑service support.
  • Receives customer deposits for all accounts and payments; verifies balances and requires proper identification and documentation.
  • Maintains currency and coin supply within bank policy.
  • Maintains balancing records within acceptable limits.
  • Familiar with security equipment and understands safety precautions.
  • Performs tasks such as verifying balances, balancing ATM, ordering checks, modifying addresses, handling safe‑deposit box access, branch capture, redeeming savings bonds, buying/selling foreign currency, preparing cashier checks, selling gift and reloadable cards, temporary cards, wire transfers, verifying mail and night depository bags and envelopes, maintaining accurate logs and supporting the bank’s service reputation.
  • Cross‑sells and introduces new services to customers following branch goals and regulatory guidance.
  • Assists with customer issues/disputes and troubleshoots as needed.
  • Opens and closes the bank following proper security procedures.
  • Completes office duties such as scanning, indexing, ordering supplies and handling mail.
  • Any other functions, duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Training and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
