Position: FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER
Location: St. Marys

Overview

WeCare tlc partners with employers to proactively manage their health care cost by delivering primary care for the benefit of employees and their families. WeCare tlc has an opportunity for a skilled Family Nurse Practitioner
. The highly qualified individual will be responsible for providing primary care to eligible employees and their dependents. Our health clinic does not bill insurance, allowing for more time with patients.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care medical services to the employees and dependents. The Provider is also responsible for promoting wellness programs that educate the patient population and assist them in making healthy lifestyle choices. We seek individuals who are bright, focused, self-motivated, friendly, organized, flexible, adaptable, and able to build rapport quickly. Current knowledge of clinical practices is required.

Must have good judgment, excellent follow-up skills, a sense of urgency, and knowledge of healthcare and the medical industry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care medical services to employees and dependents.
  • Promote wellness programs that educate patients and assist them in making healthy lifestyle choices.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program; valid state license in the state of practice; minimum of 2 years NP experience; sound medical knowledge; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent computer skills and comfort with technology.
  • Preferred DEA registration and DOT Certification.
  • Experience in family practice, preventive, and/or occupational health.
  • Understanding of treatment of common chronic diseases.
  • Ability to perform common in-office procedures.
  • Knowledge of preventive care guidelines.
  • Understanding of best practices for CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to develop rapport with patients and staff.
