RQC provides complete project delivery from concept through completion
, including in-house electrical, mechanical, and specialty trade teams
. This integrated approach allows our Project Managers to work directly with internal craft professionals, improving coordination, schedule control, and execution on complex projects.

Our primary focus is large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) construction
, supporting critical infrastructure for the U.S. military. Many of our projects involve mission-critical facilities, high-security installations, and technically complex systems that require strong leadership and a deep understanding of electrical construction.

We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Manager (EPM) to support complex military construction projects in the Jacksonville, Florida region
, including work at installations throughout the Southeast.

This role is ideal for an Electrical Project Manager who wants to own the electrical scope on challenging projects
, work with dedicated in-house electrical teams
, and play a key role in delivering infrastructure that directly supports our nation's military.

Position Overview

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading all electrical aspects of construction projects from conceptual design through final completion in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. The EPM works closely with project leadership, internal electrical field teams, design partners, and subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project delivery.

Electrical Project Managers may oversee multiple electrical scopes simultaneously and are expected to manage planning, coordination, budgeting, and execution of electrical systems within large Design-Build construction programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all electrical construction activities for assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Coordinate with in-house electrical craft teams
    , subcontractors, and design partners to ensure efficient project execution
  • Lead electrical scope planning, procurement, scheduling, and cost management
  • Support Design-Build collaboration with engineering and field teams during design development
  • Ensure compliance with DoD standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
  • Provide technical leadership for electrical systems including power distribution, controls, communications, and mission-critical infrastructure
  • Track project financials, electrical budgets, and forecasts
  • Participate in client coordination and project meetings with government stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required
  • Equivalent experience and field training may be considered
  • 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager managing commercial or DoD electrical scopes of $500K or greater
  • 3+ years of experience working on Department of Defense construction projects
  • 5+ years of prior experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role within the electrical construction industry
  • Experience working in a Design-Build environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction sequencing, and field coordination
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with construction and estimating software such as Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Autodesk/BIM, Revit, or Mc Cormick preferred
Certifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification required (training available if needed)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required
  • STS Certification preferred
  • LEED GA or LEED AP/AP+ preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Must possess a valid, unexpired U.S. Passport to allow access to military installations and support occasional travel to project sites.
