Location: St. Marys
Lead Traveling Superintendent – Heavy Civil / Water Treatment
Location:
South Carolina, Eastern Georgia, Northern Florida (Travel Required)
Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000+ DOE
We are seeking an experienced Lead Traveling Superintendent to oversee multiple heavy civil and water treatment plant projects within the South Carolina–Eastern Georgia–Northern Florida corridor. This role requires flexibility to travel between project sites while maintaining strong leadership and operational excellence. Most weekends are spent at home.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage field operations for heavy civil and underground construction projects, including concrete forming and installation of process equipment.
- Supervise crews of 5–10 team members on projects ranging from $2M–$10M in scope.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with inspectors, engineers, owners, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Oversee Division 2 and Division 15 work
, including civil/earth-moving equipment and process systems. - Interpret and execute plans with precision, maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Manage 1–3 projects concurrently, depending on scope and complexity.
- Apply basic knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls to operate autonomously in the field.
- Drive productivity and maintain a positive, solutions-oriented approach with crews and stakeholders.
- Heavy Civil and Underground Construction expertise, with strong concrete forming experience
. - Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment projects or experience with line & grade contractors
. - Ability to read and interpret complex plans and specifications.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing crews and subcontractors.
- Strong communication skills for diverse audiences (field teams, inspectors, engineers, owners).
- Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls
. - Experience with civil/earth-moving equipment and process equipment.
- OSHA safety certifications or equivalent.
