About what the Fitter will do- Be responsible for the fleet and equipment repair and annual maintenance.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair faults in grounds maintenance equipment, including petrol, diesel and electric powered machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and preventative checks on hand and vehicular equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
- Upkeep of fleet records and service history logbooks.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with fleet suppliers and engineers.
- Work closely with the grounds team to support the timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Support maintenance, preparation, renovation, and repair of racing surfaces.
- Support projects associated with all grass areas and non-grass areas on site.
- Have full working knowledge of the irrigation equipment including set up and application.
- Maintain a full range of mowers and horticultural equipment instructing team members on their operation.
- Operate relevant specialist equipment including welding and fabricating and undertake maintenance on all machinery.
- Support the fabrication of Jump Fences and Hurdles.
