Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Produce electrical drawings and schematics including SLDs, AC/DC, wiring and keyline diagrams
Support projects from design through manufacture, FAT, installation and commissioning
Work closely with Production Engineering on bills of materials and component selection
Assist in the delivery of MV/HV electrical design solutions
Attend site visits and occasional overseas manufacturing visits
Support wider team activities and contribute to problem‑solving initiatives

Experience & Skills

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or similar)

Experience with AutoCAD (EPLAN desirable)
Understanding of UK DNO, ENA and MV/HV schematic standards
Exposure to protection and control systems; relay settings experience advantageous
Knowledge of LV installations and 18th Edition desirable
Strong team ethic and practical, solutions‑focused mindset
