We at VAT Group AG invite a talented and passionate Intellectual Property Manager to join our Technology Office Division. This is a great opportunity for technical experts who want to develop into strategic patent management and work on the forefront of VAT’s innovation projects. You will collaborate closely with two additional peers, as well as maintain strong cooperation with our Technical Business Units.

• As IP Manager, you are responsible for implementation of VAT’s global IP strategy in line with our business and innovation strategy.
• In your daily work, you collaborate closely with our innovation teams, help define relevant inventions, prepare and file individual patents with our patent attorneys.
• Evaluate existing IP literature for new technologies and support the definition of the patent strategy for new, adjacent product developments in close collaboration with the R&D and market teams.
• Develop new and more effective methods to search, review and analyze relevant patents.
• Organize workshops and connect our patent attorneys with internal people.

• Degree in science or engineering (mechanical, software, electrical engineering) or a related discipline.
• High interest in patents and IP law.
• Ability to understand the individual protection strategies of existing IP and scope new ideas into strong patents to protect our future business.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Motivated to work in a fast-growing, dynamic and international environment in the heart of project teams.
• English speaker; any other language is advantageous.
