HGV Technician

HGV Technician – Biffa Waste, St Austell Depot

Base Pay Range: £19.95 p/h.
Joining Bonus: £1,500.
Shift Patterns: 06:00‑15:30 and 08:00‑18:00, Monday to Friday (45 hrs per week).
Overtime & Call Out: Available.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste‑management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa's operator licence commitments.
• Work with a diverse fleet ranging from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Fully skilled with a level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship qualification or equivalent City and Guilds/NVQ qualification.
• Technician level.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence; HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC qualification desirable.
