Overview
Hydraquip is the UK’s largest independent onsite hose replacement company, offering a 24/7 365-day service nationwide. We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth. Our hydraulic trade counters carry a comprehensive stock of fluid power products, with access to 70,000+ products available for next day delivery. Each hydraulic trade counter has production facilities to manufacture one-off or high volumes of hydraulic hose assemblies with optional testing, labelling, bagging or including them into multi-component kits.
Role:Branch Assistant
Our Branch Assistants are hands-on and work closely with the Branch Manager in day-to-day depot operations. A part of your day will be serving both new and existing customers from our thriving trade counter, delivering excellent service and driving sales where possible. You will be using our computer system to locate stock, process customer orders and provide timely and accurate pricing.
Your duties will also include:
- Assisting and actioning customer enquiries
- Processing of sales orders & quotations
- Identifying, sourcing & component selections for projects
- Assist with depot stock control and distribution of van stock items for service engineers
- Day to day operation of hydraulic trade counter
- Assist with the promotion of products and services
- Provide prompt customer service to the highest standards
- Completing general administration duties
- Logistics coordination of a small number of Mobile breakdown vans
You will need a hands-on, customer-focused approach and be confident and happy to serve customers on a busy trade counter and proactively engage with potential future customers. As our Branch Assistant, you will have had previous experience in a similar customer facing role, perhaps in another industry. Whilst not essential, previous knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic components will be a distinct advantage.
Driving licence is not essential but will be a substantial advantage, as from time to time we may need you to assist with deliveries to our customers/engineers.
- Basic salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience
