Location: St Asaph

Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of the population and enabling access to evidence-based weight management services? We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Dietitian, with strong leadership skills and substantial experience of working in weight management, to lead our Adult Level 2 Weight Management Service across North Wales.

This is a fantastic opportunity to continue innovation in service delivery and to shape the service to enable a greater proportion of the population to access effective behavioural, nutritional, and lifestyle support to achieve sustainable weight loss and improve health outcomes as part of the All Wales Weight Management Pathway. You will need excellent communication, partnership working, service development and problem-solving skills.

Main

duties of the job

You will lead, inspire, support and develop a team of Band 7 Team Leads (including the Pregnancy Weight Management Team Lead), Band 6 Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and Administrative colleagues, to ensure the service is coordinated, person-centred, and meets clinical, performance, and quality standards across the region.

You will lead the team in coordinating a single point of access for adult weight management referrals and offering programmes in a range of formats including video groups and in-person sessions in leisure centres and community venues. You will work in close partnership with a commissioned digital weight management provider, integrate with the specialist weight management service and collaborate with physiotherapists linked to the orthopaedic lifestyle management programme.

You will report to and be directed by the Head of Dietetics and a BCUHB Weight Management Steering Group including allied health professional leads and public health colleagues. You will also ensure coordination with All Wales developments by working with Public Health Wales and weight management service leads in other health boards.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
