Position: Specialist One to One Study Skills Support (St.A)

Are you a dedicated Study Skills Mentor passionate about helping students achieve their academic potential? Randstad Student Support is seeking experienced one‑on‑one Study Skills Support Workers to assist students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) in St. Andrews. Join us in making a difference!

Job Summary

Provide personalized learning support to students with SpLDs, developing individual learning plans, building on strengths, enhancing organizational skills, improving research and comprehension skills, and creating action plans.

Job Type

On‑site (In‑person and online)

Requirements

Teaching or tutoring experience, or in‑depth knowledge of learning difficulties. Experience working with students with Autism is a significant advantage. Ability to manage a caseload of students. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Share relevant information with Randstad to ensure the best service for students.

Qualification/Education

Relevant qualifications or experience in education or SpLD support are preferred. Relevant professional body memberships (PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE, DG) are desirable.

Experience

Experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties is highly desirable. Experience in teaching or tutoring is essential.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths, punctuality, reliability, good organizational skills.
