Up to £45,000 Are you an experienced, hands‑on Company Accountant looking to take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations within a growing SME? A well‑established business in Ascot is seeking a proactive and commercially minded accountant to join their team full‑time in the office.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a close‑knit environment, enjoys variety, and wants to be at the heart of an organisation’s financial operations. What You’ll Be Doing Managing daily accounting operations including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journals, and month‑end tasks Producing accurate financial reports to support leadership decision‑making Handling VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards Managing UK movement of goods processes including documentation, compliance, and cost tracking Overseeing cashflow and supporting budgeting and forecasting Working closely with operational teams to streamline processes and improve financial visibility Supporting year‑end preparation and liaising with external accountants What We’re Looking For Experience in an SME finance environment where you’ve been involved in broad, hands‑on accounting Strong operational accounting skills with confidence managing day‑to‑day finance Proficiency with Xero (essential) Solid VAT knowledge and experience with UK movement of goods A relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA – part‑qualified or qualified) A proactive, detail‑driven mindset with the ability to work independently Comfort working on‑site full‑time in a collaborative office environment What’s On Offer Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience A stable, supportive SME environment where your work genuinely makes an impact Full ownership of the finance function with room to shape processes A friendly, close‑knit team culture based in a beautiful Ascot location What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
