Senior Structural Engineer

Outstanding opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the rapidly expanding team in our St Albans office. We are looking for Engineers with minimum of 6 years' experience in structural consultancy, passionate about creative design willing to undertake a leading role, overseeing complex structures and have desire to face structural challenges. Strong engineering and team/project management skills would be essential.

Successful candidate will be responsible for complex design and delivery of schemes from inception through to handover of the completed projects.

• Deep understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents
• Able to deliver design concepts, undertake and supervise 3D analyses and structural calculations
• Report writing, and site survey - making observations, providing inspection reports and checking reports provided by others
• Managing and supporting team, liaison with client, providing fee proposals, provide project briefing, overseeing and mentoring team members
• Ability to undertake design quality check, oversee the production of design drawings
• Managing the project fees against the scope of services during design work progress
• Collaborating with professionals such as Architects, Engineers and clients

• Close to being or chartered with IStruct
  
  E or ICE
• Excellent knowledge and experience in all structural engineering design materials.
• Experience of RC frame in medium and high-rise structure
• Knowledge of industry standard software, such as Tedd’s/Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, RAM Structural System, Master Series, AutoCAD, Revit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in working with stakeholders
• Working knowledge of current regulations and standards
• Continuing professional development to keep up to date with new technologies, materials and methods of construction
