Senior Acoustics Consultant

We are seeking personnel with the ability to demonstrate experience of resourcing and delivering complex and challenging acoustics projects. You will contribute to a wide range of acoustics projects primarily covering building acoustics, with opportunities to manage and grow work across vibration and environmental acoustics. Responsibilities include development and mentoring of junior staff, and potentially line management duties.

• Provide Expertise: Track record of working in acoustics with experience across a range of commissions from small projects to major multidisciplinary projects covering sound, noise and vibration (SNV) technical areas.
• Deliver: Advise clients on building, environmental and occupational acoustics, noise mapping, vibration, industrial noise control, audio‑visual design and auralisation across all market sectors.
• Collaborate: Bring innovative solutions and explain acoustics to non‑technical audiences.
• Lead: Provide and/or lead acoustic input, undertake predictions, assessment, and write reports on a range of projects.
• Provide Quality: Build acoustic design reports and calculations, review projects systematically, and generate proposals delegated by team managers.

• A degree (preferably a postgraduate qualification such as a Masters) in acoustics or a related technical discipline (e.g. Physics, Maths or Engineering).
• Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA/FIOA).
• Chartered status or evidence of working towards this.
• Experience undertaking acoustic modelling using Cadna
  
  A, CATT/Odeon or similar software.
