Teaching Assistant

Position: Teaching Assistant (Contract)
We are working with a number of specialist schools across Hertfordshire looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Autism and complex learning needs.

These schools support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, communication difficulties, sensory needs and learning challenges.

The role involves supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and build confidence within a structured environment.

Successful candidates understand the importance of patience, routine and consistency when working with pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs
Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
Supporting communication, engagement and independence
Helping maintain a calm and structured learning environment

Individuals with Autism support experience
Psychology graduates seeking SEN experience

Candidates with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will be prioritised.
