? We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in that places creativity and the arts at the heart of student development. The school is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join their team and inspire students to explore, perform, and create.
This role offers the opportunity to teach within a supportive environment where music is celebrated, and students are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, and self-expression. You’ll be joining a collaborative music department with strong leadership support and access to excellent facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available depending on experience).
- Encourage students to explore a wide range of musical styles, instruments, and music technology.
- Lead and support extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, and performance ensembles.
- Prepare students for assessments, performances, and formal examinations.
- Monitor, assess, and support student progress, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to whole-school events, performances, and productions.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and carers regarding student progress and achievement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Experience teaching Music at secondary school level.
- Ability to play at least one instrument and/or strong vocal expertise.
- A genuine enthusiasm for music and a commitment to inspiring young people.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A collaborative, proactive approach to teaching and learning.
