Breakfast & After School Playworker/Activity Leader

Notice:
Casual roles available for sickness, holidays or busier sessions (zero‑hour contract possible).
Hours:
Up to 17.75 hours per week – Term Time Only
Term Time
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday – 07:30‑08:45 and 15:20‑18:00
Pay:
Up to £12.21 per hour (plus holiday pay)

Term Time Only

- Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation—multi‑sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play and more—ensuring they are age‑appropriate.
- Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely returning them to their parents or caregivers.
- Ensure all activities are age and skill‑appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
- Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
- Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation—such as accident and incident forms—up to date.
- Ensure proper sign‑in and sign‑out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
- Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children and schools.
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
- Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
- Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
- Inspire our team members and the children to have fun, stay active and lead an active lifestyle.
- Compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) policy.
- Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
- Provide two references: one from the most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable).
- Undergo a DBS check.
