Semi-Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice St Albans (Hybrid) £28,000 - £35,000 DOEButler Rose Public Practice is pleased to be supporting a well-established accountancy practice in St Albans in their search for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role would suit a practice-trained accountant with 2-3 years' experience who enjoys managing their own client base and delivering a broad range of compliance services.

You'll build strong client relationships while gaining exposure to accounts, tax, and the opportunity to review work as you progress. Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of clients
• Prepare bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
• Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Complete personal tax returns
• Liaise directly with clients to understand and support their needs
• Review work completed by others as experience develops
• Support ad-hoc practice work as required

Key Requirements

• ACA or ACCA part or fully qualified
• 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience across accounts and both personal and corporate tax
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Competent user of Xero, Quick Books, and Sage
• Exposure to Tax Calc and Smart Vault
