Role Summary

The QA will act as a dedicated engineer across Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Security domains. This role ensures thorough validation of changes, proactive risk mitigation, and automation-driven testing to enhance system stability, performance, and security. The QA will embed testing early in the change lifecycle, standardize QA processes, and drive automation and visibility across teams.

Key Responsibilities

QA/QE Ownership & Governance
Manage all QA/QE activities in Jira, including tickets, test cases, CI/CD integrations, defect tracking, and sign-offs.
Shift QA/QE Left
Participate in planning, impact reviews, and design sessions to identify risks early.
Define validation strategies and test scope for infrastructure, network, and security changes.
Test Planning & Automation
Develop centralized, reusable test plans and automation scripts.
Use Selenium for system/UI validation and Ansible for infrastructure configuration testing.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation and faster releases.
Pre-Production & Environment Validation
Conduct testing in production-like pre-prod environments to ensure reliability.
Collaborate with Infra, security and cloud teams on environment setup, provisioning, and rollback automation.
Disaster Recovery & Resilience Testing
Plan and execute regular DR and resilience tests across on-prem and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Conduct load and performance testing using JMeter and Blaze Meter to identify performance bottlenecks.
Document DR and performance testing outcomes in Jira.
Security QA/QE Ownership
Define and execute QA/QE validation for security patching and remediation.
Automate patch testing via Selenium and CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure compliance, rollback readiness, and consistent pre-prod validation.
KPIs, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Track and report QA/QE metrics: test coverage, defect leakage, automation ROI, DR and performance test results.
Build Power BI/Jira dashboards for visibility and leadership reporting.
Conduct RCA and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
Work cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Security, and Dev Ops teams.
Promote QA/QE best practices, documentation, and lessons learned through knowledge sharing sessions.

Key Deliverables

Comprehensive QA/QE Test Coverage:
Ensure complete test coverage across Infrastructure and Security with zero production defects or rollbacks.
Standardized QA/QE Processes:
Adhere to established QA frameworks, templates, and tools, including defined entry/exit criteria and formal sign-off workflows.
End-to-End Testing:
Deliver manual, automated, and load/performance testing for all network, cloud, and security-related changes.
Performance & Quality Reporting:
Provide regular QA/QE reports summarizing load and performance results, automation coverage, and overall test effectiveness.
Disaster Recovery (DR) Validation:
Conduct regular DR tests with detailed test plans, automated scripts, execution results, and resilience improvement documentation.
Traceability & Documentation:
Maintain complete test plans, cases, scripts, and defect traceability within Jira, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the QA lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong QA/QE experience in infrastructure, cloud, and security testing.

Experience with AWS/Azure, network, and infrastructure automation.
Proficiency in Selenium, Ansible, JMeter, Blaze Meter, and Jira.
Experience integrating QA/QE in CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with DR, load and performance testing, security patch validation, and QA/QE metric tracking.
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
