We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. Machinist must be proficient at Fusion 360 or other CAD software and able to create programs that will transfer over to run our machines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in operating various machines and tools. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production process by fabricating, assembling, and maintaining precision components.
Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
- Operate manual/CNC machines such as (Centroid, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Balanstar etc.), milling machines, lathes, balance machines etc.
- Use Faro arm or other measuring equipment.
- Form and shape raw castings and metal materials per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assemble components and verify tolerances using precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to resolve production issues.
- Organize and process materials and documentation.
- Operate forklifts (with training), saws, and other machining tools.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow job preparation procedures and complete jobs on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned and be open to learning new skills.
- Follow detailed work instructions, job safety analysis (JSAs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Notify supervisors when materials need to be ordered.
- Adhere to all safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Proven experience as a machinist to operate manual/CNC machines within a manufacturing environment.
- Completion of machine school or equivalent experience.
- Proficient with Fusion 360 for design purposes and creating CNC programs.
- Proficient in math for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Proficient at reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in operating manual horizontal machines and vertical boring mills.
- Proficient using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to Detail – Critical for ensuring precision in measurements, machine settings, and final products.
- Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make real-time adjustments.
- Spatial Awareness – Understanding how parts fit and move within machines or assemblies.
- Mathematical Ability – Proficiency in basic math.
- Mechanical Aptitude – Understanding how machines work and how to maintain or repair them.
- Focus and Concentration – Ability to stay alert and avoid distractions in a high-risk environment.
- Time Management – Prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently to meet production deadlines.
- Adaptability – Ability to adjust to new machines, tools, or production processes as needed.
- Communication Skills – Effectively conveying information to team members and supervisors, especially regarding safety or quality concerns.
- Stress Tolerance – Ability to work under pressure, especially during tight production schedules or equipment failures.
- Frequent lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. while walking.
- Lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Standing or sitting for the entire production shift.
- Balance and Coordination – Necessary for working on elevated platforms or uneven surfaces.
