At Outback Fire Apparatus, we build wildland fire trucks tough enough to take on the hardest terrain and longest fire seasons. Based in Springville Utah, we design and manufacture custom wildland fire apparatus that firefighters depend on every day.

Responsibilities What We’re Looking For- Proven experience welding stainless, aluminum, and mild steel
- TIG and MIG welding proficiency (TIG aluminum experience preferred)
- Ability to read prints and measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean welds
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet
- Experience in automotive, fire apparatus, or equipment fabrication is a plus
We’re looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our build team. This position requires hands‑on metal fabrication skills and the ability to weld stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
You’ll fabricate and assemble custom components for wildland fire apparatus, working from prints and build sheets to produce clean, strong, professional‑grade work.
What You’ll Do- Fabricate custom compartments, brackets, mounts, and structural components
- TIG and MIG weld stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
- Cut, grind, fit, and finish materials to precise tolerances
- Read and interpret build sheets and shop drawings
- Ensure welds meet strength and quality standards
- Work closely with assembly and install teams
- Maintain shop safety and organized work areas
- Full-time, on-site position in Springville, UT
- 4‑day work week (Monday–Thursday, 10‑hour shifts)
- Competitive pay: $20–$32/hour depending on experience
