Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join a well‑established, growth‑oriented organization in Springville, AL.

Location:

Springville, AL (On‑site)

• Prepare and post journal entries; complete monthly/quarterly/yearly reconciliations.
• Process vendor invoices and assist with AP inquiries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities and prepare financial schedules.
• Provide documentation for internal/external audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Assist with payroll‑related reconciliations and journal entries.
• Help gather data for budgeting and forecasting.
• Support credit card and expense report processing, vendor setup, and general team coverage.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the department.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1‑3 years of experience preferred; internships considered.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with systems like Sage or Epicor preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
