Job Description
HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking an experienced Security Program Manager to help support our misison of national and security defense. The Security Program Manager will serve as the primary security authority for the program, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security protocols in accordance with federal regulations and customer requirements. This position requires direct oversight of security operations, personnel security management, and facility security compliance for all contract activities.

Job Responsibilities
The Security Program Manager will establish and maintain the program's security posture, ensuring full compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and customer-specific security requirements. This includes managing all aspects of personnel security clearances, access control systems, secure facility operations, and classified material handling procedures.
This position will lead a security team responsible for day-to-day security operations, conducting regular security briefings and debriefings, managing visitor control processes, and overseeing the proper marking, handling, storage, and destruction of classified materials. The Security Program Manager will serve as the primary liaison with government security officers, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and other oversight authorities.
The role requires managing all personnel security actions including initial clearance processing, periodic reinvestigations, clearance upgrades, foreign travel requests, and adverse information reporting. The Security Program Manager will maintain current knowledge of security regulations and ensure the security team and program personnel remain compliant with all applicable requirements.
Additional responsibilities include conducting security risk assessments, developing and delivering security training programs, investigating security incidents and violations, maintaining security documentation and records, and participating in government security inspections and audits. The position requires preparing and submitting required security reports, managing security budgets and resources, and ensuring business continuity through effective security planning.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of security management experience in government contracting or military/intelligence community environments.
