Amentum is looking for an Access Control Officer (VCC) to join our team in Springfield, VA
.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Overtime, varying hours, and rotating 8‑hour shift schedule may be required for 24/7 coverage.

Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a fully adjudicated Top Secret/SCI clearance (must be maintained throughout employment).

• Issue and track visitor badges using various computer systems to verify identification, clearances, and visit authorization documentation.
• Greet visitors with expert customer service and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Assist inter‑agency visitors with badge readers and direct visitors to proper destinations.
• Direct visitors (including foreign nationals and foreign government officials) and employees to their destinations on a daily basis.
• Provide escort duties as needed for immediate client requirements.
• Maintain access control procedures for the restricted facility by ensuring positive personnel identification.
• Support the submission of required reports and deliverables in accordance with client requirements on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Provide support to after‑hour functions as directed.
• Respond professionally and courteously to all personnel calls, emails, and messages in a timely manner.
• Provide proactive thinking and problem‑solving to resolve and prevent future issues.
• Perform all other security‑related duties as assigned or requested.
• Be familiar with SCI and security processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of DISS (formerly JPAS) and Scattered Castles is helpful.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Wear appropriate work attire, which may include a company‑provided uniform.
• Customer‑service oriented, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, dedicated, and well‑organized.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to provide instruction to onsite visitors.
• Incumbents preferred.

Hourly rate: $27 per hour.

The compensation range is a good‑faith estimate based on job responsibilities, education, experience, and market data. Actual compensation may vary.
