Responsibilities
Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a 97‑bed facility located in Springfield, Illinois that provides psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents. The RN‑Clinical Nurse Manager is the administrative leader for the unit and is responsible for the coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy, goals and objectives. The CNM acts as a clinical role model providing clinical leadership, teaching and supervision of nursing staff.
The position requires responsibility and accountability for the individual nursing care provided to patients and families and for the management of a safe and therapeutic milieu.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Two (2) years’ experience as a registered nurse required, preferably in a psychiatric health care facility. Five (5) years’ RN experience preferred. Supervisor and managerial experience preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
- Successful completion of CPR certification, age‑specific training and the current patient aggression management training, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment.
- Must pass a medication administration exam and have a valid driver’s license.
